They generally began in September in UK, so yes, it is suprizing for them

Are you saying this offer has now started in the UK already?... how do you get it and what do you get LOL

I don't think you can access the educational store remotely if you don't have the university proxy. this is the link:

http://store.apple.com/uk/browse/home/education_routing

You can, you just click 'School or any
other education establishment.'

How come the promo gives you a free iPod Touch in the US, where as in the UK it'll still cost £20

Dunno but last year I think the max you could get was something like £90 towards a nano so it's an improvement.

Could it be related to VAT or tax laws over here? Although an extra 15% on £145 would take it to £166 so maybe not.

Yea.. but you don't get the same discount as university account. And yeah i agree bout the £20. See everything with apple or even Microsoft is more expensive here than the USA. You are guys in the other side are really well treated! :p

nope i dont go to uni LOL iv been out fo education for 4 years LOL. It was on another thread on this site heehee.. someone did do that though.. hat off to them

Just wondering. Can you get an instant rebate in-store? And if you buy it online does the rebate come as a cheque?

Usually you have to mail in your receipt and barcode off the Mac and the iPod.

They then either mail a cheque or transfer to your bank account (your choice) within 4 weeks.

There is a rebate of £60 for printers also but does anyone know if you can get the rebate for both the printer and the iPod or is it just the one?
