Since I updated to iOS4 on my iPhone 3G the damn thing is slow as a mu****a. Starting text.app takes forever, and so does photo.app.

I guess there's nothing you can really do, just wanted to point out that my iPhone is slow as hell.

...I want that iPhone 4, now!

I want to use my 3G as a Touch, but iOS 4 has gimped it so bad I'm downgrading to 3.1.3

Yeah my iPhone 3G is slower now too. Except the home screen icon-zoom animation is faster, strangely enough. But everything else has taken a sizeable speed hit.

I guess that's the price you have to pay for the luxury of having folders :p

my iPhone 4 is nine days away...

Thanks for the heads up. Was about to upgrade my partner's phone to 4. It's a shame because I think she'd really benefit from the fast app switching for Angry Birds!

Sure thing, but I have the 3G which doesn't support fast app-switching anyway. That will only work on the 3GS (which is quite a bit faster, so shouldn't take the same performance hit when upgrading to iOS4). Make sense? hopefully.
