So for some context, I have held on to my 2013 Air as long as I could and it's been still chugging along (recently needed both a battery and SSD replacement recently). Not sure what to do with it now, but I'm thinking about keeping it as a backup?

Anyway, I recently got my 14" today and it was so crazy seeing the stark difference in the screens and hearing those glorious speakers on the pro. I honestly thought people were just exaggerating how good the speakers are and even when I was at the apple store playing around with them I didn't really notice a difference in the screen, but having them playing a video side by side is such an insane noticeable difference.

I guess I'm in the honeymoon stage, but so far, very worth the month of waiting after my order!

Congrats on the purchase OP, they are awesome laptops. Enjoy!!

It's been a while (2012 with rMBP?) since Apple made the best laptop money can buy. It's certainly arguable but IMO no laptop can compare when factoring in everything including display, CPU, GPU, size, speakers, battery life, quietness, and build quality

I have to agree with all this. Have had a 13” MacBook Pro 2015 for five years after using the 15” for work for about ten and was patiently waiting for this upgrade. And so glad I did. The 16 is a thing of beauty and I couldn't be more satisfied.
