Wow, new Macbooks make old ones look CHEAP!

The new design is really nice looking, i compared it to the plastic ones and they look like cheap toys. I would easily spend the extra $$ for the aluminum just on looks alone. I'm surprised they're that expensive though. That will turn off lost of potential customers....

Oh I doubt that. Firewire? As a student or joe-schmoe consumer, Firewire is last on their must-have feature list.

Firewire may be a big issue on these boards and to a lot of people but they are a very small portion of Apples overall market. I used my old Macbook for a ton of things and never once used the Firewire.
