Very impressed with Siri, you can even see it correcting the words as you speak. Once the the hd voices are downloaded it sounds very natural.

What do you mean by "correcting words as you speak"? It either heard you or not, just a different UI. I get the same old mistakes its always made. Sounds a little better though.

I'm just guessing that maybe the OP misspoke and what was meant to be said was that you can see what you're saying live as opposed to not seeing what was dictated until after you stop dictating.

Nope, I see it correcting words as well. It must have a two step recognition, first being an onboard recognition engineer and the second being a server side interpretation.

Probably just diction and autocorrect happening at the same time live, so to say.

Positive comments about iOS 8 will not be allowed.

Just like Google dictation in quite some Android iterations already.

No, it actually does make visible corrections as the words display. The big change with Siri is real time word display. I used it this morning and saw Siri briefly displaying what it probably thought I said on the first pass, but corrected the word to better fit the context of the sentence.

It's the same as "Enhanced Dictation" on Mavericks. As you talk the system records your words, but it also tries to understand meanings and sometimes will change or correct the preceding few words to make the sentence whole.

Bad Example:

"It will train to ...
It will try to make the sentence in...
It will try to make the sentence as complete as possible."

I will see something like take place live as I speak on my Mac. It happens in real time.

Yes, with the visual feedback I'll be using dictation a LOT more often.

And you're right, watching the corrections in real time is very cool too.
