So the distractors of this forum probably make up less than 1% of the entire users and only 1.7% have returned their iP4.
Clearly a vast majority of us have working iP4s. If you have problems, try returning them for working ones, as some have had success this way (indicating that there's simply a bad batch of iP4s that Apple has not identified). If this doesn't do the trick, it must be at&t in your area, really no different from someone who got the original iPhone, couldn't live with it and had to return it because at&t reception sucked. We heard from quite a number of them 3 years ago and I don't think it's any different. Wait for Verizon next year or so.
If you've had a working 3G or 3GS but it was always in a case, I'm afraid you must do the same with iP4. Otherwise, you would have returned the 3G/GS long time ago.
