I'm wondering what lengths people here use for their WPA2 wifi passwords.

I presently have a 29 character password with a mixture of upper and lower alphabetic, numeric, and symbolic characters. Living in a hi-rise with a lot wireless networks, I wonder if it's strong enough. Also, I turn wireless off when not using it, but that will be a pain when I start to use my Time Capsule, and I'm a bit leary about leaving wifi active 7/24. I'm not worried about people accessing my computers as they are firewall protected and turned off when not in use. It's more about possible unauthorized access to my internet connection. I also have MAC address filtering, but I guess that's not hard for a determined hacker to overcome, so I'm thinking about lenghtening my password to around 50 random characters.

It should be, yes. Change it about once a month or so, for added security.

There's no harm in leaving it on 24/7.

I really don't think you have anything to worry about.
