Is there a better way than using Script Editor to make a quick and dirty launcher for these kinds of files? The Script Editor method works but it isn't perfect. For example, the launcher does not embed or wrap the thing being launched... then again, this could also make updating the launched item easier. The one exception is when the updated file changes name with every change, which just happens to be the situation I am in.

Platypus and Pashua used to be good for that. [i'm unsure of their current status... might still work, idunno.]

But... do you really need a "wrapper" in the form of an application? You do know that raw executable shell scripts can be run very easily from Script Menu... right? [that includes Bash, Perl, etc., not merely AppleScript files.]

No, I was not aware of that functionality. That will help me a LOT. Thanks!
