I have both "Double Tap" and "Wrist Flick" gestures turned on, on my Watch 11. If I get a notification for, say, a new message or that I've closed my rings, and use double tap to select "Dismiss", or physically click "Dismiss", the notification is gone - no red dot displayed at the top of the watch screen. If I use the wrist flick gesture, the notification closes, but the red dot is still displayed, and I can still view the notification by swiping down from the top of the screen. Wrist flick is behaving like I ignored the notification, not that I dismissed it. Is anyone else seeing this behavior? I've tried turning wrist flick off and back on, and restarting my watch (and phone), no change.

That’s how it’s designed to work it would seem. Same on my Ultra 2.

Personally I’d prefer it deletes the notification.
I agree. This doesn't feel like "dismissing" a notification. I thought it was supposed to have the same result as actually clicking on "Dismiss". Kind of disappointing, but definitely a first-world problem.
