I'm using the X window system XQuartz 2.7.8 (for terminal connections to other servers in my building) and for a good couple of months, I have had consistent disconnections to any remote machine my terminals are connected to, every morning I come to see all terminal connections are broken with the same message:

Write failed: Broken pipe

My system manager doesn't know what is happening. My work depends on having many terminal windows open to several machines at all times, so this is becoming increasingly obnoxious and frustrating...

Any help is highly appreciated.
