Hello all,
My two good friends and I launched an app last month on the App Store called Notewalk. It's currently available on the iPhone. We are looking into bringing it to Android devices soon. We are striving to give the map we generally use to find direction to our destination a more social and collaborative significance.
In its shortest form its a geo-social playground.
(1) you write notes about things around you - and place it on the map (public for everyone to view or private for future point of reference).
(2) With more people writing notes on the map you can discover chatter nearby - or explore places you've always wanted to visit and see what people have to say.
*It's not a traditional social network. You are not following people, checking into locations or sending friend requests. Its you, other users on the map.
The app itself is less than 1MB! Practically lighter than feather. Works with iOS 6 and later. Fast and lightweight. Absolutely free.
To learn more please visit our website: http://www.notewalk.com
To download the app for iPhone: http://get.notewalk.com
I hope you all get a chance to try it out. We are based in Ottawa, Canada and growing the service internationally. The map is huge, but with that if you don't see a note nearby I hope you don't get discouraged from using the service in the future.
We are adding comments, and other accessibility features in the next week or two.
If you have any questions, I be more than happy to answer them. If I am writing this in the wrong section my apologize in advance. I'm new at this.
Thanks for reading.
With Warmest Regards,
Mehdi Jourabbaf
