Writing a book, need advice about OS.

Hello everyone,

I didn't know where to post this, so i decided the software section is best. If it's the wrong spot, I apologize. Anyhow, I am in need to buy an new computer. I would love to get a Mac, but Apples pricing isn't an option, so I decided to get a Windows box.
Anyhow, my question is this. If I were to write a book/ebook using a Windows OS, is there anything that would prevent me from applying it to the AppStore? I know this may be a stupid question, but I'm not really computer savvy. I mean I know how to use one, but that's about it.
