Writing in 2 different languages in macOS

Hello everyone,

Is there a way to have the spell check active fore than 1 language in macOS? macOS is set English and I type in English 90% of the time, and the autocorrect works fine in iMessages for English. But if I want to type in another language, the autocorrect corrects whatever I am typing to English and is far from smooth. So far the only workaround was to disable the English spellchecking, but I don't want to give up the spellchecking. So how do I add a 2nd language to the system wide automatic spellchecking?

Have you selected System Preferences → Keyboard → Text → Spelling: Automatic by Language? Also check in that menu if both languages are selected, by scrolling down in the "Spelling" menu to "Set Up…".
