Writing Review - Can't See Typing

When I try to write a review, the typing area disappears from the display as soon as the keyboard pops up. It doesn't matter what keyboard I use, and this started pre ios8. If I type anything, it is being entered because if I close the keyboard, I can see what I've entered. I just can't see it while I'm typing.
