So i got my MacBook Pro 15" in June 2009 three days before they introduced the new MacBook Pro (i got mine fri. they introduced a new one Mon.). My system profiler says it is MacBook Pro 5,1 which is late 2008 (5,2 is mid 2009). My processor however is a 2.66 which on the 15" was only an option on the mid 2009 and not late 2008 according to Apple's web-sight. Is my computer a 2008 or 2009? The reason I need to know is because i want to upgrade my ram to 8gb and the late 2008 can only support up to 4gb while the mid 2009 can take up 8gb.

So just making sure even though Apple says only 4gb is max I can put 8gb in it
