Doesn't it stand to reason that inventory on the existing model will be low and that a new order doesn't "touch" the new model inventory once ordering on the new model goes live??

Delivery time for an order today has nothing to do with delivery time when the new model becomes available.

Generally speaking, they'll cancel an order if a new model comes out while you're waiting for the old one to be shipped (figuring you'll probably want to return it for the new one anyway).

What if you're not interested in the new model, though?
