Just wait...You'll soon see (hear actually), that the texting short cuts are used in everyday conversations. I had lunch yesterday and most of this girls conversation was spoken using shortcuts. She actually said things like "OMG", "WTF", etc, etc. I could only say "What" as well.

This is true the kids at school all say "LOL" and "WTF". As an english teacher this infuriates me, but what can I do about it if the parents don't enforce correct English in the home.

When the times change you need to adjust. It wasn't that long ago that cashiers could make change without the help of their register's display and that calculators were not allowed in school.

Alright, "WTF" I can almost understand saying aloud so as to avoid using the proper curse word, but to say "LOL" as opposed to actually laughing out loud at something deemed humorous? WTF???

And yes, typing wt to save two keystrokes on a full QWERTY keyboard is just plain lazy. This isn't 2002 with your old Nokia amber screen cellphone anymore, and these kinds of texting shortcuts should really be put out to pasture once and for all, dnt u thnk?

Off topic but had to share: I bought an item for $4.23 and gave the cashier $20.25. She forgot to add the quarter, and the problem started there;). She thought that the change was $15.77. I reminded her that I had given her $20.25, so the correct change is $16.02. The middle aged woman needed a calculator to confirm that I was correct. I am not a math whiz, but this is basic math that i could do in my head, KWIM? I couldn't resist:D

Back on topic: I like Flight Control HD and Asphalt 5 HD.

+1 and emphasis added.

Nope, you're not the only one…unfortunately this is the way things seem to be headed.

Yep, I refuse to participate. Same thing with sized cups at Starbucks. It's a large dammit. I don't participate with the venti concept. Pisses those amped up kids off behind the counter.
