Hey everyone,
I'm wanting to buy a cheap Mac. :)
While I'd like to buy something higher end (iMac 20" or maybe even a Pro), I'm itching for a new toy and wondering what should I do.

I could get a Mini (though if I go the Mini route, I'll probably wait to see the updated ones that are eventually going to squeak out soon).

-or-

I could get something older/cheaper (like a G4) and throw a couple hundred into upgrades.

I'm looking for something that will efficiently run 10.4 and CS2/CS3 (when it's released). Obviously CS2 will run better natively but I'm not sure what to do. (I can get a Sawtooth or DA G4 for around $160.) With my needs in mind, what would you fellow Mac users recommend? Go old (G4) or new (Mini)?

Get the new Mini. It will have the faster, plus dual, processors. You can put just as much RAM in the Mini as you could in the old G4. You will be limited with internal Hard Drive space, but you can always get an external.
