I want a clear Speck-style hard case for my MacBook Pro (15").

What ones would you recommend? And from where?

I'm in the UK so I'd prefer to order from here, since I'll get it faster.

Thanks :)

I haven't had any problems with it... no scratches that i can see....

One thing i had to do (but it says this in the documentation that comes with it) is i have to slightly trim the edge at the back where the screen hinge is, as the factory machine tolerance can be off slightly sometimes, thus catching on the bottom of the MBP.

It was a two second job with a scalpel. Easy.

Nothing else has been a problem, just make sure you take a duster across your MBP and the inside of the case and get rind of any dust before putting it on.

EDIT: It has air vents at all the appropriate places so no cooling worries....

Great. I've seen different pictures for the item, even on the Speck site. I want the clear one, which seems to be smooth, however the coloured ones have weird grooves on top cover.

Is yours smoothed or does it have this carved 'design'?

Personally, the generic Speck cases just don't do it for me. I'd like to know if there are any arty looking 'luxury' cases for an MBP 17" in the market. Something Dior would make if they went into the Mac accessories business for example. Any fashionistas in the know here?
