I am working along this morning when my network connection starts dropping out. After around 10 minutes, it completely dies. I use a wireless ISP, so this has been known to happen. My son comes up from the basement and says that the AE is blinking yellow/amber. I took a dell laptop down, unplugged the network drop from the AE and plugged the laptop in directly ... worked fine, got an IP address and browsed yahoo.

So, I pull the AE from my network and put in a Linksys router. I take the AE back to my office and plug my Mac Mini into it. Guess what??? It seems to have completely lost all settings and reverted back to the out-of-the-box configuration.

This AE is less than a month old. Needless to say ... I am not a happy camper.

I am currently attempting to reconfigure the AE as a bridge so that I can get my "N" network back up. Luckily, most of the rest of the wireless systems in my house use a second "B/G" network via a Linksys WAP.

I no longer can trust this AE as the base router for my network. I will see how it behaves as a bridge, but if it fails again, I am sending it back to Apple.
