Wait. What the f-?!!

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Actor Chadwick Boseman, who played Black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown before finding fame as the regal Black Panther in the Marvel cinematic universe, died Friday of cancer, his representative said. He was 43.

Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, his publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Associated Press.

Boseman was diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago, his family said in a statement.

Boseman had not spoken publicly about his diagnosis.

Born in South Carolina, Boseman graduated from Howard University and had small roles in television before his first star turn in 2013. His striking portrayal of the stoic baseball star Robinson opposite Harrison Ford in 2013′s “42” drew attention in Hollywood.

Boseman died on a day that Major League Baseball was celebrating Jackie Robinson day.

I just heard about this from instagram myself. So sad, he had a bright future ahead of him. 😪

So sad, my daughter just ran out of her room to tell me. I guess our Friday movie night choice was made for us. RIP

That was so unexpected! But the fact that he had cancer for 4 years and the public didn’t know about it was amazing. Nowadays, everything gets leak. May he RIP! Just wow. He had such a bright future ahead of him!

2020 will be a year that no one ever forgets!

I was quite upset when I learnt the news - and amazed he filmed all those filme while suffering from cancer.

RIP King T'Challa.

ABC is going to air Black Panther commercial free tonight.
I purchased it after it hit the Apple TV store in '18. I watched it yesterday as well at both Avengers Infinity & Endgame. Good movies with great acting. I know he was in Civil War but I can't seem to make myself watch it for some reason.

Way to young and way to soon!!! We were just getting to know him!!!! I first saw him in 42... What is even more amazing, is he kept this to himself, as far as I can tell, and still did what he did. Not to mention, we are hearing about the times he visited the kids in the hospital who were fighting the disease. Knowing all along what they were going through because he was going through it too!

Very sad... RIP.
