On tenterhooks
Is there some way of me excluding the massive volume of posts from Forum Spy for Mac Community forums.

Or perhaps we could give the players their own sub-forum within the Community??

Perhaps this would also work for NFL/NHL/MLB player draft games too?

Anyone??

Click on Preferences for Forum Spy and uncheck any forums you don't want to see.

Ah, but I already have Community Discussion checked, because I want to see general topics being discussed.

If there was a play-time forum within Mac Community, then I could un-check that one.

iJohn, I think the problem may be that you haven't actually participated in one.

I, too, used to feel a bit like you, up to around a year or so ago, and wonder what this stuff was all about and why so many posts flooded into my inbox. Then, nursing a wicked head cold, and thus, confined to the house early last summer, I actually followed one from beginning to end. By the time the next one started, I had become a participant.....and, by and large, I have participated in almost all (not quite all due to work related travels) of them since then. Believe me, they are great fun and strangely addictive....

However, a dedicated sub-forum might not be a bad idea......but, you know, you are always welcome to join the marauders and murderers in this parallel universe of MRville....

This is true, but then I always lost at Clue.

And I say enjoy.

Thank you. :)

Now you went and spoiled it. :(

I have no need of these pseudo-urges.

:p

I realize I am slightly late to this thread, but I think this seems like a really good ideas. We can stay out of peoples way, and still be part of this community. I was also thinking (oh no) that if we were in our own sub-forum, a friendly MR god could allow our Game Gods to be made moderators of just that one forum. Then, if/when a players post needed to be removed/edited, we don't need to interrupt the other normal Mods. Thoughts?

I'd like to ignore these games, too. Maybe a sub forum of Community Games? I guess I'd still see them because I play in other games, but yeah, it'd be nice to turn them off at will. Sometimes they're just a bit overwhelming.

Nothing against the games or players, like I said, I participate in some. Just be nice if they had a home that Forum Spy could ignore.
