Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) starts today with the traditional keynote kicking things off at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. MacRumors is on hand for the event and we'll be sharing details and our thoughts throughout the day.

We're expecting to see a number of software-related announcements with a focus on Apple's efforts to infuse AI throughout its operating systems and apps. We'll be seeing Apple take the wraps off iOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11, visionOS 2, and more, although we're not expecting to see any hardware introduced today.

Apple is providing a live video stream on its website, on YouTube, and in the company's TV and Developer apps across its platforms. We will also be updating this article with live blog coverage and issuing Twitter updates through our @MacRumorsLive account as the keynote unfolds. Highlights from the event and separate news stories regarding today's announcements will go out through our @MacRumors account.

Not getting my hopes up on iOS 18 because the past few iOS version have been mediocre and lame. The AI push is probably more for business than it is for fun and creativity. It'll probably do the tasks we can already do but more efficient.

AI Push? Is that a new kind of notification?

I just saw the photo of Sam Altman at Apple Park. He’s starting to give me Zuckerberg vibes…

Can we use this thread to comment the event in real time?

Can we have the Apple Events App back in Apple TV. Trying to find the stream is garbage.

Even a pop up would do….”An Apple event is about to start shortly…click here to automatically to being playing when available”

Honestly, they should just call is Apple Intelligence..

but is there anyone other than me who is slightly concerned with what happens when 1 BILLION DAILY ACTIVE WORLDWIDE apple devices are all trying to make some cloud based inference queries, several times a day, sometimes all at once? I mean, stats I have read are that an OpenAI query is TEN TIMES the power required vs. a google query.

Hopefully, a lot of the AI will be on device, small local language models based on ME, and MY STUFF, etc. But if it’s going to be a lot of cloud inference, I’m JUST a tad more concerned with regional brown outs at various times of year.

is anybody else experiencing issues accessing the live stream?
seems like the redirectory wasn’t working

I hope they say - "We are using our big percentage TSM production allocations to make 2nm large language model servers ready to compete with Nvidia". EASY to do this Apple.

I hope they say that they will put at least 10% of their cash into BTC, ideally 80%
