Everything from the MacBook Air to the 16 MBP have already been updated one way or another. The leaks are pointing to a new iMac and related iOS and macOS (ARM) announcements.

WWDC should give everyone a better timeline of the ARM transition.

Right now, it's anyone's guess as to how long x86 will be supported.

I was having the same dilemma this past weekend when considering an upgrade from my 15" 2019 model.

Then Best Buy had a Dad's and Grad's sale (-$300), and I found an excellent open box (-$300), and I had a 10% coupon from Best Buy (-$220). Ended up paying under 2K for the i9/16/1TB/5500M.

Maybe they announce a new one, but it'll be full price once released and I could not pass this one up.

Jon Prosser said that MacBook Pro stuff was coming at WWDC, so I'd wait just so you don't regret anything. He said that the WWDC MacBook Pro stuff was separate from the 13 inch refresh we got in May. Maybe they'd show off a new design language that's coming to the rumored 14 inch ARM MacBook Pro for next year.

Given that they added the 5600 graphics option the other day, I think that pretty much confirms that the 16 inch won't be updated until the end of the year if that. It sounds like you got a killer deal! There probably won't be anything worth your time at WWDC as an ARM 12" MacBook wouldn't fit your workflow.
