I've never attended WWDC so was hoping those who have would be able to this year.

- Is there an EDU discount?
- Are there hotel discounts usually? If not, can you give an approx. cost?
- Are dates & registration costs released before the actual registration date?
- Where is the best place to watch for information about registering?
- Do I need to be part of the iOS Developer Program to register? Any other prerequisites?

Thanks...

- Not that I know of, but students can apply for a free ticket.
- Hotels and plane tickets have no ties to the event, so it will depend on what they have specifically.
- If I'm not mistaken, they're not. They're released on the same day.
- I'd say the best place to watch would be Apple's website at developer.apple.com/wwdc (right now it's still showing WWDC 2011).
- You only need the free account (but to apply for the scholarship, it needs to be either the iOS University, Mac Developer, or ADC Student)
