I am new to the G5XServe...but wanted to software mirror 2 of the 750Gb drives, and then partition them, one partition to be 300Mb, the other effectively 400Gb, but I can't seem to get this completed. It seems like I cant create the partitions with the Disk Utility..

Anyone have any ideas... I have WD drives, and have heard of something called WDRaidManager, but cant seem to find it on the WD site..

Any assistance would be appreciated...as I need to get this G5 up soon.
thanks..

I use SoftRAID for my server drive mirroring, and I believe it can partition a mirrored set. It's not free, but it's also pretty cheap for server-grade software, and I there's a free trial so you can test it on your setup.
