Here's a little bug that's been annoying me lately.

In any Finder window if you click any drop down menu within Finder, say the "Action" drop down menu or the "Path" drop down menu and then without having exited the menu go to click the close or "x" button for that particular finder window - The menu will close but you will not be able to close the Finder window, no matter how many times you click. You must click somewhere else first and then click the "x" button.

This has been happening to me in several apps as well, including Firefox.

Should I do a format of OSX? (I just bought this MacBook Pro as well...)

?? What "X" button? I'm running Firefox and I see no X button.

The normal close button. There's an X in it when you hover over it. Also, the OP was talking about the Finder and, if this is a bug, then likely it's Finder-related and wouldn't come up in FF.

Works fine for me too, I have no issues.

Works fine here, the first click dismisses the menu, the second closes the window. Which version of OSX are you using?

The latest version. I just got this new MacBook Pro.

Hmmm I might format.

Ok so the first click dismisses the menu and then you have to move the mouse for the second click to register the close action.
