there are a couple of apps i'd like to run that require x11
(openoffice, gimp). an admin once cautioned me about x11 in
context of opening up security holes. is this something i
really need to worry about? if so, what do i need to do to
secure the operating environment when using x11?

secondarily, the main app i want to run is final cut pro.
does fcp run under x11? i'd like to run fcp along with gimp
and/or openoffice at the same time. that would seem to
require running fcp under x11. does that work, or would i
have to be switching between x11 and aqua all the time?

opinions please,

X11 is an app. It has no greater privileges than any other app running on your account.
