I just read over the intel forums that wile the X3100 has hardware T&L making it something worth playing games on this is not yet enabled due to drivers not being finished for it yet. This may or may not affect mac users depending on who writes the mac drivers Apple or Intel. Or it could be that it just dosnt work and there trying to hide it as a driver issue.

Hardware T&L is less important now days because cpus are fast enough to do it in software. Although back in the Geforce 1 days, hardware T&L made quite a difference.

So this shouldn't make too much of a difference to gamers, unless it is actually broken and is a sign that other parts of the GPU don't work as they should too.

The problem with it being dissabled is games that make hardware T&L a requirement have problems and some wont run at all because of this, Even if the processor is fast enough to do the calcualtions the game dosnt care about that all its wants to see is that the check box is ticked.
