I posted recently about a problem I'm having with XAMPP. I need to download the app for a web dev class, and I'm not very knowledgeable about this stuff at all. According to our professor's guidelines, I checked my terminal and Apple actually did not recommend installing PHP, stating that in the future all Apple computers will come without it. Currently it seems my computer already has PHP installed. After asking my professor, she said it's ok, just install it and it should be fine.

I installed it today and went to the site she gave us at localhost/phpmyadmin, but Safari blocked the site stating the certificate is not secure and that it somehow expired in 2010. I don't know what this means now. I just want to finish this course and get this done with :/

I thought about viewing the site but not allow the computer to trust it for all time.
Should this be ok? I just needed confirmation.

I'm confused. What's the difference between using the https and http? Isn't https safer? I'm concerned that what I'm doing may not be safe for my computer so what you're suggesting is simply to avoid Safari's security gateway, no?

As far as I understand, you are trying to run the site you created. You should be safe with any of the above options.
After you are done, you can remove the certificate from the Keychain app - login - localhost

Hi guys. Please help. I finished my project and now I'm trying to delete Wordpress from XAMPP before I delete XAMPP, but I get this error message every time I try to drop the database.

What do I do?
