I'm wondering about xBench resut comparisons. It seems as though everyone wants to know benchmarks of new machines when they come out so that they can compare them to their old machines, or the ones that they're replacing. I wanted to know if the xBench scores are a direct indication of speed improvement or is there something more too it? I guess to put it simply, if my current computer's xBench test result was 25, and the new computer's result is 125 then is it going to be 5 times as fast or would it be faster (or slower). Just trying to make sence of these bench mark numbers.
