I own two MacBook Pros.
1. 15" 2.93Ghz w/ 4Gbs of Ram and a 256GB Apple Solid State Drive.
2. 17" 3.06Ghz w/ 4Gbs of Ram and a 500GB Apple Hard Disk Drive (7200RPM)
I ran XBench on both machines just after a clean install of Leopard and after installing all Software Updates. Here are the results.
XBench Comparison
These tests are great for people that are asking if they should get a 2.93Ghz MacBook Pro from Apple's refurb site or spend $500+ more bucks and get a 3.06Ghz. As you can see, the speed is completely negligable.
The real kicker was when you look at HardDisk versus SolidState and that's what makes the 2.93 totally soar!!!!
