Is it possible to use my macbook as a monitor for my xbox 360? if so, what is the cheapest method of doing so?

You would need some kind of video input device like an Eyetv Hybrid. I have one of those and play GameCube and Xbox 360 with it. Very little to no noticeable lag. They're fairly cheap and work well.

The first link isn't an EyeTV Hybrid. Compared to other Mac compatible ones, it is cheap. The second link you posted to doesn't appear to have Mac support and it has a large proportion of one star reviews.

It also depends if you want HD or not. The cheap one you linked to is only SD.
