Over the last week my 360 (which was replaced earlier this year for RRoD) has been flickering back and forth from whatever game i'm playing to a black screen (even happens at Dashboard screen). The plugs are all plugged in right, and the HDTV setting is set for the component cable.

The problem is intermittent -- sometimes a reboot of the console makes it go away, sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't seem to be related to prolonged play. Last night I played NHL 09 for a while and had no issues, but as soon as I started up the console today it was flickering.

If this is a hardware problem is this covered under warranty still? Or is the warranty only good for RRoD?

Edit: I changed the resolution to 720p from 1080i and it seems to have fixed it. I've been running the xbox at 1080i for the past 5 months without issue though. Weird.
