Xbox controller doesn't work?

I thought I read that Xbox controllers work with tvos 13. I have a controller from my original Xbox one and I've tried 10 times and appletv won't see it when I try to pair.

Just after I upgraded the main ATV to tvOS13, I tried setting up an XBOX One controller, went into BT controllers, pushed the X button and then "sync" button on the XBOX controller, showed up instantly on the ATV. It worked for navigation too! I fired up Skyforce (it even showed controller specific buttons, like "Press A to Start", worked great.

Definitely works, not sure what's happening on your end. Did you follow the same process?

We were also able to pair our Xbox Controller (via remotes and devices in settings). Seems to be working here.

Oh, I guess that explains it. They advertise Xbox one controller works and it's an Xbox one controller. I guess I'll have to buy a steel series
