Finally, I got a LCD screen in my living room which lets me hook up my old Xbox again. I never had a too huge library of games, so there is plenty of room to catch up now. The games I have so far are...

  • Halo 1/2
  • Quantum Redshift
  • Dead Or Alive 3
  • Hunter: The Reckoning

What other games should I pick up? :)

(I already got KOTOR and Morrowind for PC)

Panzer Dragoon Orta was nothing short of outstanding.
GTA: San Andreas
Any of the Burnout games
Macrumors: The Game
XIII was okay
Timesplitters 2 (not 3, ever) was very very good.

Emulation is still a bit patchy, IIRC it's something like 75% of all the old Xbox titles will work on the 360.

If you could get only one of those games, make it that one!

All of my 48 game old xbox library works with my 360 so I think quite a lot work.

Also OP, the 4th game in the Elder Scrolls series is out, Oblivion. It is on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Splinter Cell was one of its biggest games, probably the 2nd biggest "exclusive" series after Halo. It did a lot of cool things with the stealth genre.

I remember playing Black on a 360 and my weapon seemed to have disappeared. The rockets that shot out of my hand didn't do anything. Oh... and an explosion noise repeated endlessly in the background.

Gotta love the power of the 360. :D
But hey, Hunter might work. No promises.

Anyway, you could always check out the IGN Editor's Choice winners.

Sure it's IGN... but that's a good list of top games.

Splinter Cell was okay, a bit more serious than the Metal Gear series but a good stealth game nonetheless.
Another vote for Psychonauts! I think they sell that on Steam though so if you can't find a copy there's always the digital distribution route.
Midtown Madness 3 was okay too, just Driver for a new generation.
