Hi all. So i've been using the xbox webcam for skype chatting while connected to my 3-year-old ibook G4 running OS 10.4.9 and all is right with the world...

But I'd like to be able to use it with my (much faster) desktop G4 running OS 10.5.6, but no dice. the 'puter won't even recognize it. I browed around to see if it's just not compatible with Leopard but some folks out there seem to think it is.

Anyone got any ideas?

yes here with me the same problem;
connected it through usb, nothin' happens. tried rebooting but still
the camera doesn't get recognition from my mac mini.
the guys in the mediastore assured me it would work and I also read
a lot of possitive internet forums
really dissapointed by this!
also, didn't find any driver whatsoever for the xboxcam compattible with mac
if anyone has a sollution please let me know.

Assuming the OP got his problems sorted, I can tell you that my XBox live cam worked all the way up until the latest software update from Apple in Leopard. I never tried it on SL and eventually gave the camera away. It works on an eMac and a Rev D PowerBook. It also worked on my early 2009 Mac Mini and Mac Pro before I went to SL.
