Hello.

I got a question concerned Xbox one and Macbook Air.

Is it possible to connect my Xbox one to my Macbook Air using a Thunderbolt stick (or whatever it's called to plug in a HDMI cable)

I wanna be able to play on my Xbox one without having a television nearby.
If it so is possible, what apps / program is required?

Thanks in advance :)

macbooks have no video-in port so there is no simple cable connection. You can buy capture devices like elgato, but don't know how well they work on MBA.

Would an elgato work for Macbook Pro? And what is elgato?

I tried to monitor and capture camera footage via an elgato and blackmagic ministudio. None of them worked in full screen mode. The elgato just showed a greenscreen and the bm studio onoy lets you monitor in a small window.
Let us know your experiences.

The input lag via any capturing device would make it unplayable. Not worth it.
With black magic studio there is no input lag!
You would have to find a way to go to fullscreen though.
The blackmagic hotline claimed that the VLC player recognizes the BM studio input, but I could never get it to work. You would need a BM studio mini recorder/monitor, a thunderbolt cable and a hdmi cable. Let me know if you give it a try. I am still interested in this myself, too!

All I have is a Thunderbolt and HDMI cable? I can get blackmagic but I don't know how it works. I'll test it when I get a chance
