macOS Xcode 4.4 does not honor Ask To Keep Changes When Closing Documents in Mt Lion Prefs

I am using Mountain Lion and XCode 4.4.1

Apple added in Preferences>General Ask To Keep Changes When Closing Documents to be prompted when quiting an application but did not save your document. Works for Preview and Textedit. However it does not work for XCode. Any ideas?
