xcode 4 install question

just installed xcode 4 from the app store.

2 quick questions. once installed, it left about a 4 gb "install xcode" app in my home directory/applications folder. i deleted it, is this ok?

also, if i do not want to older version of xcode, can i just move the developer (old) folder to the trash? or do these share some of the same files?
