Is there any way to make this massive piece of bloatware stop lagging? I feel like Apple has totally destroyed Xcode. Not only does it take an hour to download per update (i have a fast connection), but once it's downloaded, takes just about as long to get to the point where you can compile anything. What's up? Also, what does "The selected run destination is not valid for this action." mean? Did Apple actually expect this to be used by developers, or is it supposed to sit there and look pretty?

Perhaps they expect only people with MPs to use xcode? It's using 14 threads at the moment, and that would be nothing for one of those, but I could see a 4 core choking on this too if my dual-core is having so much trouble.

lag? i dont experience that . core i7 2.2ghz

but then again when xcode 4 is running nothing else is running :p except for terminal and firefox

Don't know about XCode 4, but XCode 3 has a lot of memory leaks, and after some hours of work it took up the whole RAM, making it unresponcive and laggy.
