xcode color wheel mac os 10.13.4

hey guys,
anyone experiencing the color wheel just about every session on xcode?

it kicks in in about 5 minutes into using xcode. and stops me in my tracks. its so annoying!

i dont know why. anyone?

Hmm... How much RAM is installed on your Mac? Are you using a spinning HDD?

What does Activity Monitor show under the both CPU and Memory tabs?

Didn't test Xcode under 17E202 yet, but 17E199 is fine. Not spinning wheel.

activity monitor doesn't say anything unusual. my istats doesnt show excessive use either. i have 16gb ram rmpb. so im baffled by the spinning wheel. i could just be writing a simple line and it happens.

Do you mind capture what exactly iStat / activity monitor shows during "beach ball". Some users may not able to identify CPU single thread limiting scenario.
