macOS [XCode] WEBDAV

I have an idea for an application so i started to learn to program using xcode. I have developed some simple tutorial apps and i think i'm ready to start my app, i'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction for what i'm after

- webdav frame work - i want to be able to connect to a server using web dav

- my app doesn't need a window (apart from preferences), it's something that will run in the background in the 'task bar'... is there a framework or any information i can follow to help produce that sort of app.

Google brought up lots of results, e.g. FMWebDAVRequest

that frameworks test app doesn't work it just crashes. i also tried ConnectionKit but it just throws 100s of errors that i'm not in a position to fix, this is going to be harder than i thought
