XcodeGhost bug fix for an app

I just noticed I received an update to CamScanner HD app and it indicates XcodeGhost bug fix. I'm not too familiar with what this bug was. Should I be concerned that my device was compromised? How would I know if it was? I'm guessing that this is just an update to the code to make the app more secure, though it just had me thinking...
