Xerox Phaser 790 printer "busy" in Leopard

Phaser 790 is set up as a network printer connected to Netgear Router. Power Mac G4 (running OS X 10.3.9) connected to router prints fine. 24" G5 iMac with 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme running OS X 10.5.2, gives error:

Connecting to 192.168.0.6 on port 631... Network host '192.168.0.6' is busy; will retry in 30 seconds...

System Profiler shows the printer. Downloaded latest PPD from Xerox site.
