Help !!
Quite a few years ago I "purchased" a FREE app from the app store back when I had my old 3GS and iOS 4.x (.3 I think).. My old iPhone 1.0 was still working fine so I also loaded the app onto it.
I've kept that app for all these years because it was brutally simple and did precisely what I wanted it to do, nothing more, nothing less. No spyware, no ads, no internet connectivity at all, it just worked, perfectly.
It was a shopping list app. It was perfect, I couldn't have asked for a better app. It was so simple and easy to use.
So anyway, I bought a full boat iPhone 6S Plus when they came out. I forget what version of iOS it was, 8 or 7, I don't remember. But anyway, I had my shopping app on my iPhone 5 and when I got my 6S+ I backed up my 5 and transferred all my stuff from it to my new phone. All my data, text messages, notes, contacts and of course my apps. My shopping app transferred into my new iPhone and all was well. All was well up to recently, when I loaded iOS 9.3.x onto it. I needed to go shopping so I open my phone and suddenly I can't find my app anymore! It's completely gone. I check my iTunes purchases and it's gone from there too. It's as if it never existed.
I go to my old iPhone 5 to check for it but it too updated itself to iOS 9 and the app was missing from it too. I keep my old iPhones charged and on WIFI because I can use them as remote controls and stuff like that. So while it was sitting around idle Apple decided to update the OS and wipe the app from it !
I checked my old 3GS and it's been wiped from that one too.
But on my old iPhone 1.0 which has no SIM in it and all it's radios are turned off so it gets no WIFI or bluetooth, the app is still there on it. I'm afraid to plug it into iTunes because they will probably wipe the app as soon as I connect it to anything. It's running iOS 3.1.3 and it is jailbroken and has Cydia on it.
Oh and somehow it seems also to have disappeared from my old iPad 1.0 (which is JB'd and stuck on iOS 5.x) I can't figure out how that happened other than I keep that iPad powered up and on WIFI so maybe Apple wiped it somehow.
But, my new 6S Plus is not jail broken and I don't intend to JB it because I just don't trust the current jailbreak methods. And most of the things I was JB'ing for are part of iOS now anyway.
Is there anyway I can transfer this app from my iPhone 1.0 to my iPhone 6S+ ? I know for a fact that it does run on 64bit because it was running perfectly on my 6S+ until not too long ago.
And I know everyone will say to just get over it and use a different app. Well, no. They all SUCK.
I tried dozens of shopping list apps and they are all crapola. I even paid for some fancy shopping list apps that had high ratings/reviews and those suck too. I despise them all, they are loaded with bloat and ads and probably spy on me by phoning home and sending the stuff I put on my shopping list to some scumbag parasite advertising corporations. I hate them, I don't trust them and they are bloody awful to use.
I just want my extremely simple little shopping list back that I got for free waaaaaaay back years ago.
It was on there and working fine until Apple decided to ghost it. I've got a working copy of it on a disconnected iPhone 1.0 so why can't I somehow get a copy of it from the old phone back to my new phone?
Please tell me there's a way to do it without jailbreaking my new phone !
Thanks!
