Before I bought my iPod Touch, I had a Pocket PC. On my PPC, I played XFlib games (www.xflib.net), which are arguably the best freeware (or anyware) titles for the platform. Most games are remakes of generics, but there are a few (like Ballbreaker and Hexavirus) that I was sad to leave behind when I took my new 'Pod out for it's first trip around town. So, here's my question- what iPhone games are like XFlib's?

(If you are clueless about these games (, are on Windows as an admin and have a free hour), you can try them out. Instructions are below. (highlight the text to see them.))

First, download everything on these two pages (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...02-3199-48a3-afa2-2dc0b40a73b6&DisplayLang=en)
(http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...a5-183a-4a1e-a7e2-cc500ed1f19a&DisplayLang=en), and install in the order I put them here. Then, open 'PocketPC - Savestate' from it's Start Menu folder, hit 'configure' in the file menu, and hit the '...' button below 'shared folder' to select a pre-existing folder to act like a memory card (thus allowing you to easily put things on the device). Then, go to this site (http://www.xflib.net/) on your normal (non-emulated) browser, select the game you want (I recommend 'Ballbreaker'), download the .cab, and put it in the shared folder you selected. In the emulator, hit 'Start', 'Programs', 'File Explorer', 'My Documents' (the one with the little device icon next to it), 'Storage Card', and hit the .cab file you downloaded. Install to the 'Device' (not 'Storage Card'), and then go to 'Start' (same location, other text depending on the program you're in), 'Programs', and hit the icon for the program you just installed. Enjoy yourself. Note, also, that this will not be nearly as smooth as it is on even a 2003 device, but you'll get the idea of what the game is.
