XGrid Agents And Java

I'm using visual hub to convert alot of DVD's and I'm happily using xgrid to help me get it done faster using 2 mac's. I also have 2 fast core 2 laptops as well and i was wondering if anyone had any experience of the XGrid agent for java ? I have it running under XP fine, but when it come to running it on Ubuntu I'm just getting

"exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org.beepcore.beep.core.SessionImpl

Followed by a load of similar errors ...

Has anyone else managed to get this going on linux / ubuntu ?
