XLD help

I'm having problems with XLD. I want to convert FLAC to ALAC.
If I have a FLAC file with a Cue sheet (an album) I can convert it no problem + add it to my Phone.
But when I am converting a single flac file (1 song), it will convert it but everytime I drag it onto my iPhone it says "X" was not copied to iPhone because it cannot be played on this iPhone.

help please!

What is the extension of the one file that you converted?

The file is probably above 44100.0 Hz. You must change XLD settings so that it outputs the file at or below 44100.0 Hz.

Take a look at the bit rate and the bit depth of the converted ALAC file. Phones have limits on this. But you can set the phone t down sample the files as they are downloaded.

Really do you need ALAC on a phone? ALAC is best used on the computer but convert to 256K AAC when you move it to the phone.
