XP connecting to xserve 10.3.x

I am trying to have my XP/2k user connect to one of the share points on my xserve for basic file sharing. I have added the users to WGM, started windows services under server admin, double checked that the share point is active under the protocol section in WGP, have tested from a mac (smb://ipaddy - share) and have setup up the xserve to join the workgroup i need. The problem I run into is when I try to map this share point on the PC. The xserve shows up under the browse button, but none of the share points are there (similar to when you don't have anything shared on a pc box). I am at a loss on how to get this to work. I have seen many threads going from a mac to a pc, but couldn't find one going this way. i apologize if this is a duplicate post. Any help would be appreciated. jeremy
